Founded in 1968 in Switzerland, Zühlke Engineering has built on its experience from more than 8,000 customer projects. The independent service provider offers product and software engineering (consulting, development and integration) and management consulting, and is active in start-up funding.
Today, the Zühlke Group includes local teams in Germany, the UK, Austria and Switzerland. It achieved a turnover of CHF 99 million in 2012 with 550 employees – including 350 in Switzerland – and generated a 20% increase in sales. The Zühlke Group is owned by partners who are operationally active in the company.

IT security issues - be it industrial espionage, data theft by employees or supervision by intelligence organisations - are currently being discussed widely. This makes the person of the "Champion" award winner Marco Marchesi all the more interesting.
Marchesi founded his company ISPIN AG in 1999 in Bassersdorf and has since become an important address for specialized data and information security in Switzerland. It employs approximately 50 employees and has 150 customers from all industry segments.
After successful graduation in electrical engineering, the 41 year old Marco Marchesi was employed as an application and network sengineer, later, the industrial engineer worked as a consultant and leading manager for the development of IT security area.
Since 1999 he leads the ISPIN AG successfully as CEO. Moreover, Marchesi is since 2001 president of Switzerland Chapter ISSA (Information Systems Security Association ) and since 2003 he teaches Security & Risk Management at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland .

The 32-year old Manuel Aargau Grenacher founded the company coresystems AG, which is according to the company, one of the fastest growing cloud application developers in Switzerland. He recorded an annual sales growth of 30 percent and more than 5,000 customers.
The company specializes in business applications for SME, is headquartered in Windisch and sells its solutions to approximately 80 % to international customers. The applications, mobility and cloud solutions support business processes and increase effenciency. As CEO and Chairman Grenacher currently employs 140 people in Windisch, New York , Sao Paulo, Freiburg, Cluj , Shanghai and London.
The son of a carpenter has completed his studies as a computer science engineer at the University of Applied Sciences Aargau and founded coresystems in 2006. In 2013 he also launched in Zurich " Mila ", a community marketplace for services of all kinds ( www.mila.com ). The entrepreneur also wants to "work to ensure that a tech start-up feeling arises in the region and that not all start-ups move to Berlin and to the Silicon Valley."

Dacadoo is a platform for users to self-monitor their health and fitness. Based on information about lifestyle, wellness and sports activities, as well as live data from personal devices (sport watches with GPS, pedometer), users receive real-time indicators of their condition and tips for improvement. The platform is based on the patented, scientifically established ‘dacadoo health score’ and light artificial intelligence, and also uses psychological motivating principles from gaming.
Dacadoo has recorded 110,000 users, mainly from Germany, the UK and the US, and is now being promoted by insurance companies.
